Baby Massage: E17 Village Thurs 11.30

Service Description

Learn the essential skill of baby massage to support your baby’s overall development, including physical, cognitive, and social development, as well as digestive health. This practice also deepens your bond and promotes joint wellbeing. Course details: Dates/time: Thurs 12th Sept-3rd Oct/11.30-12.15pm Venue: St Mary's Welcome Centre, Church Lane E17 9RJ in the heart of Walthamstow Village. (Please note: Our courses are held at the St Mary's Welcome Centre, which is the smaller building located across the churchyard from the main church building on Church Lane). This 4 week course will: • Teach you the full baby massage routine (chest, tummy, legs, feet, arms, hands, back, face and head), building slowly week on week. • Teach proven techniques to help with your baby’s overall development. • Support you to learn how to remedy common ailments in babies; such as colic, trapped wind, constipation and teething pain. • Share insider “tricks of the trade”, such as which massage moves are best for soothing and encouraging your baby to relax, promoting better sleep/nap cycles (a fav with our parents!) • Promote relaxation for you and your baby, allowing you to bond with your baby in the most wonderful way. • Parents are invited to do some gentle intention setting and breath work at the start of the classes. • Provide a space for parents to meet and connect. We recommend babies are around 6 weeks before joining, however if you want to join before this point that's perfectly fine. Baby massage is safe to practice from birth, and is suitable for babies up until they are on the move (crawling). Ticket is for 1 parent and 1 baby. Please message if you would like someone to attend with you as we need to ensure there is space. Twin parents you are welcome to book under 1 ticket if it is just one parent attending. If both are attending, please book two tickets as you will require a space each. What’s included: • 4 weeks of face-to-face teaching with a fully qualified instructor. • An email sent out before with advice on which oils to buy and how to prepare for the course. • A handy visual handout is provided. • Bring a blanket, your babies fav toy and a natural, organic oil (full details sent in booking confirmation).
