I'm Rebecca - Becks to most people - the founder of MOTHER & MORE. What started as a way to survive motherhood has grown into East London's most-loved baby massage and baby yoga classes, and now, a fully accredited instructor training academy helping others build the same kind of life - with students now running their own thriving baby class businesses everywhere from London to Cornwall.
My journey
I've always had a passion for supporting people, particularly women and mothers, in making positive changes in their lives. This passion led me into a career as a children and families social worker, where I had the opportunity to work with hundreds of families from all different backgrounds and circumstances.
Over the course of a decade in this role, I gained invaluable insights, experience, and perspectives that undoubtedly shaped not only the person I am today but also the way I see and understand the nuances of motherhood.
Despite this, nothing could have prepared me for the transformative experience of becoming a mother myself. The overwhelming love, joy, and newfound sense of purpose were paired with feelings of displacement, exhaustion, overwhelm, and guilt. When I returned to work after maternity leave, the realities of juggling a demanding career, managing a home, and trying to be an ever-available mum took their toll.
For a long time, I blamed myself. I thought there must have been something wrong with me for struggling to "have it all." The shame kept me silent and stuck for far too long.
How I went from an overwhelmed, stressed out and depleted social worker to running two thriving businesses - consistently sold-out baby classes and a fully accredited instructor training academy - helping others build that same empowering path for themselves...
Here's a rather telling picture of me working as a frontline children's social worker during a lockdown in the pandemic, while also taking care of my special needs toddler who was at home full time.
Rock bottom and transformation...
My rock bottom came during the pandemic. I was thrust into a high-stress safeguarding role with little choice, while at home, my toddler's needs were emerging - the start of our journey as an autism family. There was no space to process one before the next hit.

The result? A burnt-out, depleted mum running on empty, with nothing left to give. So I did the only thing I could - I quit.

Quitting wasn't a leap of faith. It was survival. But it became the catalyst for everything that came next.
I finally put myself first, and slowly, out of sheer necessity, I built a life and a business that didn't just work around mine and my family's needs - it thrived because of them. Successful. Flexible. Fulfilling.

Life today...
I trained in baby massage as I fell in love with the ritual of it. I never set out to build a business.

But it worked. Word spread. A handful of local classes grew into packed, consistently sold-out courses across East London - and they've stayed that way, term after term, for years.
Today MOTHER & MORE is trusted by over 2,500 families, rated 5 stars on Google, fully IPHM-accredited, and we've been invited to collaborate on a national campaign with Debenhams and Nala's Baby.

None of that was luck. It was built by a mum who had no room left for anything that didn't genuinely work - and who has never stopped adapting, testing, and refining what "working" actually looks like as the market, the parents, and the industry evolve.

I meet people every week who are exactly where I once was - needing work that truly fits their life, not the other way around, and wanting far more than a certificate to show for it.
